Directions for Use:
- Shake well before use.
- Apply liberally to exposed skin and clothing with an even mist.
- Avoid contact with mouth and eyes. Do not swallow, for external use only.
- Safe for children but should be applied by an adult.
- Safe for dogs, but not advisable for use on cats.
- Reapply every 1 to 2 hours.

I hate wearing any kind of bug spray but I’m active and I fish, so I’m out with the black flies and mosquitos. I decided to give Frenchies a try, primarily because it is natural – when I have worn bug dope in the past is has been the DEET kind and I can’t stand the way it feels on my skin. So, I tried Frenchies. I had to do some work outside and the black flies were out in force. I closed my eyes and gave my head and shoulders a liberal spray of it and then went to work. The flies bugged me a bit, but they would land and then get right off – like what using the DEET stuff is like. The big difference is that it was kind to my skin – I actually forgot I had it on. I’m only giving 4 stars, because I have a deep woods fishing trip coming up in June and that will be the ultimate test. I hope I return with a 5 star rating. I’m very enthusiastic about supporting a natural, local company !

My husband has been walking every morning on our road which is very buggy and he ran out of his deep woods off and I said I think I have something – I remembered that I had some Frenchies bug dope! – so I gave it to him and he came back and said he will never use regular bug spray/deet again and he will only use Frenchies!! Last year I went to Alaska and on a walk we were swarmed with giant mosquitoes. We sprayed on the bug dope and weren’t bothered from then on. It was amazing. Yesterday the black flies were out … but not on me, thanks again to the bug dope. Thanks for a great product!

Frenchies has successfully discouraged bugs from biting me through many fishing trips this summer in Northern NH. It held up to picking blackberries in the woods and moist undergrowth. I recently put it to a different test.
I was in Tanzania, Africa. The travel clinic instructed me to use at least 30% DEET multiple times a day to avoid bug bites and getting things like Dengue fever and malaria. I packed my bottle of Frenchies, but did take some Bens (DEET) just in case. I used Frenchies the whole time and never had to take out the deet.
I did not go on a Safari, so I cannot report on whether it deters lions and tigers. Next trip..:)
